Our Sustainability Commitment

At Suiderland Plase, sustainability is more than a buzzword; it’s a commitment that guides our agricultural practices. We recognise that responsible farming nurtures the environment, communities, and secure a better future for the world we share.

Environmental Sustainability Stewardship

Our environmental sustainability initiatives reflect our unwavering commitment to a greener future. We collaborate closely with our growers to implement eco-friendly practices, including solar systems, nature conservation efforts, and water stewardship. Solar systems significantly reduce our carbon footprint, while our nature conservation and water stewardship programmes promote responsible water usage and preserve regional biodiversity.

We support regenerative farming practices, boosting soil health and promoting sustainable agricultural landscapes. In our global export operations, we minimise packaging waste and reduce costs by transporting produce in reusable bins, further minimising our environmental footprint. We also actively seek to reduce plastic usage in our packaging materials in line with our sustainability goals.

Additionally, we recognise the critical role of wetlands and natural bee habitats in maintaining biodiversity and take their preservation seriously.

Sustainable Supply Chain

Suiderland Plase’s sustainability efforts extend across our entire supply chain, from our growers, employees, and the communities we serve. These initiatives form the foundation of our commitment to environmental sustainability, securing a brighter, more sustainable future for all.
