Citrus Farms In The Western Cape
Klipbult
Nestled near Swellendam in the captivating Overberg region, Klipbult is a testament to our commitment to producing premium soft citrus. Over recent years, our efforts have led to significant growth, expanding the farm to an impressive 120 hectares all covered with permanent netting structures.

- Clementines – Nules
- Mandarins – Nova seedless
- Late navels – Autumn Gold, Cambria
- Late mandarins – Nadorcott, Orri
Mandaryn
Situated near Riviersonderend in the Overberg region, Mandaryn produces citrus from an impressive 85-hectare plantation all covered with permanent netting structures.

- Satsumas – Miho Wase
- Clementines – Nules, Marisol
- Late mandarins – Nadorcott, Orri
Radyn
Radyn is a producer of citrus and table grapes with a total of 62 hectares of produce planted, all covered with permanent netting structures. The farm also features Wespak, a table grape and citrus packing facility.

Welverdiend
Welverdiend is a citrus and table grape farm in the Western Cape, also located near Clanwilliam in the Olifants River Valley. The farm produces citrus from a 63-hectare plantation all covered with permanent netting structures.

Zandberg
Zandberg thrives as an integral part of our black economic empowerment (BEE) initiative, a symbol of achievement that fills us with pride. The Zandberg Trust, a cornerstone of shared ownership, has emerged with 55 steadfast permanent workers taking up BEE partner roles. As co-owners of the farm, these workers not only share in its bountiful harvests but also undergo enhanced development and learning, a testament to our commitment to empowerment. Nestled near Clanwilliam, Zandberg’s 26-hectare citrus plantation yields a diverse range of cultivars all covered with permanent netting structures.

Ferland
Located adjacent to our longstanding farm, Steenebrug, which has been an integral part of Suiderland Plase for over three decades, Ferland thrives in the lower Berg River Valley of the Swartland region near Piketberg. Spanning across 103 hectares, this farm is dedicated to citrus and table grape cultivation all covered with permanent netting structures.

Mooi Uitsig
Located at Buffeljagsrivier near the town of Swellendam, Mooi Uitsig produces citrus from a 54-hectare plantation all covered with permanent netting structures. In July 2017, we celebrated the inaugural harvest.
Cultivars produced:
- Clementines – Marisol, Nules and Octubrina
- Late mandarin – Nadorcott and Orri
Loreley
Loreley, a recently established farm in the Gouda area near Porterville, has been in production since 2022. Suiderland Plase and a producer partner each hold an equal 50% stake. A total of 46.5 hectares of produce has already been planted.

- Late mandarin – ARCCIT9 (Nadorcott LS) and Leanri
Leeurivier
Leeurivier, near Riviersonderend, was recently established as a joint venture with a producer partner(Lincorso Trust), each sharing a 50% ownership stake. A total of 56.5 hectares, all covered with permanent netting structures, has already been planted, with its first harvest celebrated in 2022. An expansion plan is being considered which might include the planting of avocados.
