Suiderland Plase believes in giving dedicated students a flying start for their future by awarding bursaries on an annual basis.

These are available to students who meet the following requirements:

  • A first year of study has been successfully completed.
  • This first year has been for a degree or diploma in farming/agriculture at a South African university or college.
  • The bursary comes into effect from the second year of study onwards.
  • Good academic standards must be maintained at all times.
  • Work on one or more of the company’s operating units is compulsory during the holidays and after the specific degree/qualification in question has been obtained.

Suiderland Plase is committed to the National Skills Development Strategy as well as the development of people in the agricultural industry. We invite students to apply for internships on our farms or pack houses in the Western Cape. Students who need to gain practical experience as a required part of their agricultural studies are encouraged to apply and start gaining essential industry knowledge.

Graduate placements


Suiderland Plase is a great place to start a career and gain valuable working experience in the farming industry. We have a graduate placement programme that helps recently graduated students obtain practical experience in their particular field.

The programme runs over 12 months and is aimed specifically at students with degrees or diplomas in agriculture and/or logistics.
