Our delight in supplying superior quality fruit has always been the driver behind every investment we make into our packing facilities and over the years these facilities have become an underlying factor in how we continue to operate with such success.

In addition to the Suiderland Plase pack houses, we incorporate carefully selected third party contract packing facilities with the assurance that they have all the necessary accreditations and share our vision of striving for the highest standards.

Citrus packing facilities

Our citrus packing facilities are located at the Suider Pak and Wespak pack houses where we can pack around 22 000 tonnes during the harvesting season.

Suider Pak is located at Olivedale, Buffeljagsrivier, near Swellendam in the Western Cape. About 25000 bins are packed during the harvesting season, which is from March to September. Our people at Suider Pak are committed to handling our fruit with care and dedicate all their energy to keeping the produce in pristine condition.

Wespak is located on the farm Radyn, near Clanwilliam in the Western Cape. A wide variety of citrus cultivars are handled at the facility and here as much as at Suider Pak, quality and efficiency are imperative in upholding our packing standards. About 25 000 bins can be packed during the harvesting season.

Table grape packing facilities

Suiderland Plase handles the sorting and packing of grapes from our own production at our sophisticated facilities on the farms Steenebrug and Radyn. Our workers are well trained in the processes and all aspects regarding quality control are seen to with strict attention to detail.

During the harvesting season we pack approximately 1 000 000 cartons of grapes (each weighing 4,5 kg) at these two facilities and we have the capacity to punnet 80% of this volume. In addition to this we also have contracted grape packers at three supplementary pack houses where 500 000 more cartons are packed.
